I read the whole thing on my phone's browser. The rumor is just more desperation wishful thinking by the fake-news-industrial swamplex. McCarthy knows from whence he speaks, and he speaks well.

They’re just setting up the narrative of political persecution.

Since they said this, when the indictment does come down, they’ll screech and howl about how there was a no-bill and prosecutors only pushed for an indictment to keep the right happy.

Howling and screeching snowflakes is a given. I love it when they run around like they’re on fire and bump into each other.

It’s only a given because the Dems have been given plenty of time to set a narrative by the Deep State DOJ. 15 months since McCabe was referred for prosecution, IIRC. Contrast that to the speed at which Mueller and his angry Democrats moved. Where there is a will...

While conceding that he “do[es] not know the specific basis for the rumors,” Bromwich intuits that they must be reliable because the newspapers ran with the story.

LOL

Agree.

The DOJ will be accused of "grand jury shopping".

There was plenty of howling and screeching here when the bogus report regarding the alleged grand jury vote first dropped.

It’s not certain that a grand jury has taken up the case.

Some people have tried to argue a DC Jury would never convict. I disagree. A good prosecutor should have no problem demonstrating to everyone’s satisfaction the conspirators are DIRTY COPS. My guess is any DC Jury would love to get their hands on dirty cops.

Unless the Grand Jury is seated someplace between Altoona, PA and the CA-NV border, I refuse to believe that it will actually indict a Swamper.

This gambit, of course, floats the narrative that the case against McCabe must be crumbling — the media reports spur the Bromwich letter, which spur more media reports, rinse and repeat. But even allowing for the erosion of standards, this is thin gruel for both news reporting and legal claims.

push the BS out on the street in order to pull sentiment in direction of accused.

Juries are made up of people too dumb to get out of jury duty. Exactly the kind that would hate a dirty cop, and see one at every opportunity. If you have ever been in the less pretty parts of DC, you will have seen a whole pool of such jurors.

I don’t remember any. A lot of disheartened moaning, but not enough adrenaline betwixt us all for one good screech.

Exactly. Seems like bringing a dirty cop to trial in DC would be pretty much a slam dunk.

Then end all the speculation by indicting McCabe.
