The only way we get involved should involve a lot of Saudi military men dying fist.

Iran can wipe out all Saudi oil production for years, in that event. And we get a worldwide depression, MAGA ends & we can enjoy rule by our “prog” masters for decades.

“...Maybe someone should ask JF’nK and/or BO where did Iran get the money for drones etc?...”
Yeah, no joke. We know the mighty Odongo gave them one of our drones so they could get the technology. He claimed it was shot down....Yeah, riiigggghttt.
Add that to the billions the POS gave them and here’s the end result. JfnK and Odongo should both be held accountable...along with all their filthy ilk.

Iran is behind these attacks, no doubt about it.

We have mutual defense agreements with Saudi Arabia.

There is no doubt in my mind that they USA is right now involved in the strikes of retaliation against both the terrorist organization who actually made these attacks and Iran for sponsoring the attacks.

If Iran is not held accountable for their actions this time then next time the attacks and the retaliatory strikes will just be larger and more deadly.

This is not going away all by itself.

Mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia? That must be why the Saudis attacked themselves when we were attacked on 9/11.

Oh wait

The problem with Bolton, as stated by President Trump is, he is perfectly willing to go to war with anyone and everyone.
President Trump was and remains against constant, never-ending war everywhere and anywhere. He has been against this for many many years.
In-fact it is one of the primary reasons he was voted in as president. Iran is a regional problem. Let the wealthy countries in the area deal with them. The Suadi air force is perfectly capable of debilitating strikes on Iran’s critical infrastructure. Let the get off their butts and do something about Iran.

“Days before Ansar Allah overran the Yemeni government’s fallback capital of Aden in March 2015, Tehran announced the commencement of an air bridge47 between Iran and Sana’a with a twice-daily shuttle service operated by Mahan Air, a government-controlled airline used by the IRGC Quds Force to ferry trainers and equipment to warzones.48 Leaders who were present in Sana’a in late 2014 suggest that Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian trainers entered on these flights and up to 300 Yemenis were sent to Iran for training.49 k At the same time, in March 2015, both Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya news networks reported that an Iranian cargo ship had unloaded 180 tons of military equipment in the Red Sea port of Al-Saleef under conditions of tight security.50 According to Lebanese government officials, Iran supplied a small number of pilots to the Houthi movement in 2014 for unknown reasons.”

-excerpt-

“Other less advanced but nonetheless important new weapons systems have also been debuted in the Houthi arsenal since 2015.af One is Ansar Allah’s Qasef-1 unmanned aerial vehicle, which the United Nations stated was “virtually identical in design, dimensions and capability to that of the Ababil-T, manufactured by the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries.”78 Based on the design of the UAVs and the tracing of component parts, the panel concluded that the material necessary to assemble the Qasef-1s “emanated from the Islamic Republic of Iran.”79 An average of six Qasef-1 UAVs with explosive warheads have been launched each month since April 2017 by Ansar Allah, initially aimed at Gulf coalition Patriot missile batteries (to disrupt defenses ahead of surface-to-surface missile strikes) but increasingly against command centers (with unitary warheads at ranges up to 60 miles using GPS guidance) and even frontline troops (with bomb-releasing reusable UAVs under radio control).”

“If Iran directly attacked Saudi oil infrastructure, oil is headed to $125 and war is on the near horizon.”

Not really. I could see precision airstrikes on Iran’s oil distribution system and ports. They would not then export one damn barrel of oil unless it was in trucks on wheels that is a joy to see for a fighter pilot.

The real question is where were these drones launched from. The Saudis have radar. We have radar in the Gulf and AWACS as do the Saudi’s. We know who launched these drones but nobody is saying. This is odd!

Their current oil exports are 10-15% of pre sanctions levels.

But If they are hitting Saudi infrastructure directly, or through certain proxy, hell’s gonna break loose over there.

To all of those crazy bastards it’s existential war and has been for a thousand years.

Not surprising it's Iran....They are the key enemy of Saudi and actually the rest of the middle east. ...and their diplomacy is never more than that of stalling while they regroup and or plan their next moves. Nothing good ever comes out of irans leadership.

Good question. The Saudi’s are well armed. I don’t recall them ever really doing much with their Air Force or Navy though. Outside of Yemen anyway.

The US still imports 1/2 the oil it consumes.

The rest of the world imports most, if not all of what they consume.

And every barrel of US crude is sold to refineries at market rate, or exported at market rate.

If 5mil bbl per day is suddenly taken off the market, $125 a bbl is easy. Especially with a war in the Persian Gulf between producers.

You are correct and also wrong. The USA does import vast amounts of oil for our refiners. We also export vast amounts of refined products. In actuality we became self sufficient in oil this year 2019. We have become a net exporter of petroleum products. It is not huge amounts at this time. Our shale production of oil continues to grow. If not for shale oil we would probably be looking at 150 dollar a barrel oil if not higher.

The US Consumes about 20 million bbl per day.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/282716/oil-consumption-in-the-us-per-day/

And the US is now producing about 12.4 million bbl per day.

https://www.macrotrends.net/2562/us-crude-oil-production-historical-chart

So I guess we are a NET IMPORTER of 40% of our oil.

Not half.
