And may I ask, do you open carry? Always? Everywhere? If so, do you mind saying where you live, generally? Also, what’s your carry rig?

I am not opposed to open carry, generally. I do see a huge difference between a handgun carried discreetly and going to Walmart or strolling around the neighborhood all jocked up with a chest rig full of mags and a slung-up AR. Too many open carry zealots I’ve witnessed seem like people I’d rather not being associated with.

I prefer going unnoticed, and with my situational awareness, and where I live, I am not hampered by carrying concealed. If you feel the need to advertise your willingness to throw down, by all means carry on. I will say, there are people out there who won’t see your gun as a deterrent, but a challenge.
