My wife’s old phone never had a camera, and my phone has black electrical tape over the lense. I frequently take the battery out and charge it on an external battery charger.
Maybe it is past time for facial recognition and retinal scanning to replace most if not all of our damn passwords, door locks, safes and other security pathways.

Friend of mine is just the opposite. He recently bragged bigtime how his bedroom lights are on a “SMART” dimmer switch and he can control the brightness from his computer in the den or from his “SMART” phone. I kept my mouth shut but really, what a dumb idea. But it’s his money...
