My dad was the plane captain for (CINCUSNAVEUR), who was based in London. His plane was based at RAF Mildenhall.
Also, we were somehow transported back to the State on the SS United States ocean liner. My parents think Adm. McCain intervened to get us on board. On the other hand, my dad was a Chief by that time, and Chiefs can get lots of things done.
