Seems like herbicides on their cash crop could do the trick - but I suppose the powers that be would call that a weapon of mass destruction.
What can the US possibly “win” in Afghanistan? Declare victory, come home and secure US borders. Every day America remains entangled in that medieval country’s internal affairs, the US makes more committed enemies. These countries will embrace modernism and rationality only when they are willing. Just what will be accomplished with additional American material and human sacrifice in Iraq, Afghanistan and the entire Mideast?

I’ve long thought for problems like this we should do two things
1. Declare the nation to be no longer sovereign.
2. Use that space for weapons testing against anyone deemed hostile to our interests.
Rinse and repeat as the world unfolds in our favor.
Surface nuke burst the most troublesome valleys.
I imagine an announcement something like this:
We tried nation building under George Bush. It was an honorable attempt. We spent money and precious American blood to try to bring freedom to a country that has only known poverty and violence for centuries after we were brutally attacked.
No one can say we didn’t try.
Now we are going Old Testament on them. May God have mercy on their souls.
Said there's no way an airplane would cause an impact like that and then cause the Towers to crumble.
The steel made for the WTC was the strongest of its kind at the time. The towers were constructed from the outside, with narrow windows. The Towers were fortified and were purposefully built to withstand a possible hit from aircraft.
Even the Empire State Building, which was hit by a plane in June of 1945, didn't crumble and sustained only minor damage.
So the planes that hit the Towers should have crumbled like an accordion.
I remember FReeper oldeconomybuyer's legendary thread like it was yesterday. But after 18 years, it's time to start asking the hard questions. I'm beginning to think that people like Rosie O'Donnell and Cynthia McKinney are not the crackpots we thought they are on this issue, because even Trump at the time mentioned the possibility of bombs detonating in the buildings.
That was a reaction right after the event by Trump.
People who believe that shite are literally inferior thinkers and weak-minded idiots.
Good by me....but we have many here who would call defanging an enemy that has sworn to destroy us “meddling in affairs that don’t concern us”....glad they weren’t running things during the World Wars....
One of those planes landed inside my friends husbands office. I’m talking the specific office that he occupied.
