The Bulwark is Bill Kristol’s new “Never Trump” rag. and defining the 18’ bollard walls as “fence” in order to say “not 1 mile of wall is being built” is one of their talking points to define these walls as some kind of failure. In reality, they are in many cases replacing a fence that you can step over (not climb) or walk through huge gaps. And building these walls in high traffic areas forces the traffic into much more easily defended sectors where they can’t just blend in.
With The Bulwark, Kristol has abandoned his fake veneer of being a “principled conservative” and fully embraced the far left, as evidenced by this piece.
You are so right. Most of what they are calling “replacement” is replacing this worthless vehicle barrier, which does not stop vehicles with tall bollard wall. As you can see the old fence does nothing to even slow down people crossing.
