Every now and then, TCM shows Carson episodes from years like 1975 or 1980, etc and I also watched one or a couple on Antenna TV when I was in Virginia last spring. Were times like that even so different compared to now, particularly when you watch those Carson shows?
Profoundly so. It’s like an evil has settled over the land. An anti-Christian, fascist ugliness that worships the most vacuous, shallow, deranged, insipid and banal of our sick culture.
