HOWEVER, if they are explicit about no guns in their store then you should respect that lest you be charged with trespassing or some other minor crime if they do see your pistol.

If they state “no open carry” then that means concealed might be okay. However, you should have a means of effectively concealing it.

Most larger calibers and guns, with holsters of course, are very hard to conceal. Even IWB holsters are still visible without a loose shirt or coat to cover them. You might have to change your wardrobe.

There are some “deep conceal” pistols are small enough that they can be carried in a large pants pocket. That usually comes at the sacrifice of caliber — there are 380ACP pistols that are very small. Yet 380ACP is still optimal for self defense and may be better for self defense than a large caliber pistol.

After all, you should avoid over-penetration. Over penetration can happen with the massive bullets of large calibers. You don't want the bullet traveling through the person attacking you in your home and through the wall and into the neighbors house.

BTW, large calibers are very useful and have their place. Just be aware of over-penetration.

Paul Harrell (on youtube) has a lot of very informative videos on conceal carry. You should check him out.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV.

But, did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express?

Seriously, I agree doctors tend to treat the symptoms with drugs rather than finding and dealing with the root cause of the pain. You can't get much done with a 10 minute office visit.

I wonder if this patient was open carrying at the doctor's office??

You can only be charged for trespassing if you do not leave

There is no “epidemic”. Stop believing the lies the media trots out.

Of course, there is no epidemic. None. Mass killings up to dozens and gun wounds in hundreds at a time (Las Vegas) is normal at regular intervals in places like concerts, grocery stores, churches, department stores, movie theaters, schools and college campi and work places are normal. I forgot. Thanks for reminding me.

I wish Wegmans would come to Florida. Wegmans is simply the best supermarket anywhere. I’ll put my gun in my pocket and shop at Wegmans.
