I remember from 2018 Rush dismissing the problems so many Republicans retiring would cause. Rush was very dismissive of the possibility of a “blue wave”. He seems to always believe that no one would really vote for a democrat, and is very surprised when the democrats do well.
Who amongst us are right all the time?
I can say this for Rush, though...
He’s right most of the time. And I don’t recollect what you recollect, as he was very adamant about what would happen if we didn’t get out the vote; or if the democrats won.
In fact, I remember Rush going on week after week about how the democrats, if in charge, would spend ALL of their time investigating Trump.
And that’s exactly what happened.
Now, Rush is indeed waving the flag about these retirements and trying to perhaps stem them, although there’s already been too many.
Maybe he learned something from 2018, I can only hope.
But he still has the single biggest audience in all of Conservative media, and we should well listen to him, and promote him, and yes, even challenge him from time to time.
I think part of Rush’s problem from the campaign of 2018 is that the “talk” of the “blue wave” was coming largely from the conventional press as well as the democrat publicity department. Rush has said recently on his program that he largely considers what he hears from the conventional press as being either rubbish or outright false. Thus, he did not truly consider that the democrats would do so well as a real possibility.
