"Support animals" are house pets. They can stay at home, or be boarded in a kennel, or ride in the baggage compartment. There is no need for them in the passenger cabin.
“Trained service animals are a real thing”
OH man are they!
I know a women who went deaf as a child and now going blind from a genetic disorder, Usher’s syndrome. Her service dog is amazing!!Just stares at her the whole time she with him, but the moment she takes his harness off, he turns into a normal 2y.o. pup! It’s absolutely amazing!
I knew a millennial that had a “support” animal. She mailed
some bucks to some agency and got a special vest. It’s a scam.

Fake service animals are now a thing because people have figured out they can take their pet without having to pay cargo fees and the airlines are too fearful of “disability “ litigation to say no.
