NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are trying to find the suspect in an assault that may have been fueled by hate.
The victim is out of the hospital and recovering at home. His family tells CBS2’s Ali Bauman the beloved father and grandfather was exercising on the fields at a Crown Heights park like he does every week when he was blindsided by a man yielding a very large rock.
Investigators say the suspect hit the 63-year-old man with a paving stone Tuesday morning inside Lincoln Terrace Park.

If Jews are being routinely attacked in the streets of New York, then America has changed for the worse.
And the mayor ought to demonstrate concern (even outrage) and use all the resources he has to put an end to it.
Imagine the response if Teddy Roosevelt were still (as he was once) the police commissioner of New York...

Damn right. Knives are easy to obtain. And at close range, a knife can be more deadly than a gun. And then there’s acid, a weapon of choice over in the UK. And then there are rocks, as we see here.
But it’s soooo much easier to blame the object. Hence some folks in the UK are trying to ban pointy knives (seriously) and regulate the sale of acid.
Naw, it’s obvious the big mean ol’ man intentionally head rammed the poor kid who was walking across the field on his way to apply at jr. college after leaving bible class.

Duh. It's the lame stream media reporting this. They would bend over backward to avoid admitting it's a hate crime, most especially antisemitism, most particularly by a black man. The black man who hurled the the large paving stone was said to have yelled an anti-Jewish slur, began punching him and then hurled the large paving stone. If that's not antisemitism, I'd like to see some (actually NOT).
Appears to be what’s called granite sett or cobble stone, used for street paving/repaving in historic areas and MacMansions.
Not something one carries in a pocket...malice and aforethought involved here.
Is troglodyte another word for black?
Because i’m 99.99 percent sure that’s who did it.
They need their own security riding around again or if they still are, riding around more often.
Like I said in another post, Jews and Italians pushed Rudy over the top way back when in his first election.
A lot has changed since then, but perhaps we can band together once more and pull out an upset.
I have many Jewish friends and not a deblasio voter in the group.
They are middle and working class Jewish folks and sometimes I wonder if wealth decides a vote more than ethnicity/religion.
Seems like working/middle class groups of all kinds lean R.
As in fabricating an non-gun lethal weapon is so simple even a caveman can do it™.
