One is not born gay, they just get sucked into it.

Of course there is no "gay" gene. There also is no "straight" gene either.

People's sexual preferences are theirs and theirs alone and should be nobody's business. Gays have always been with us and always will be. I bear them no malice and would never deny them any right a straight person has. AT THE SAME TIME, please don't force me to celebrate your choice. I can coexist with it, but I am not going to cheer it on.

—— immoral pervert-——

There is the root of the matter.

The apparently prevailing thought is that there is no sexual immorality and that concept includes there is no queer imorality. I say prevailing because there are enough if not more Americans who have rejected and in effect cast off the moral shackles of custom and religion.

In America at present what was once morality to protect a civilazation existing for hundreds of years is pretty much over ruled by a majority of citizens.

To have America, moral America, prgressives must be exterminated

A recessive gene is a gene whose effects are masked in the presence of a dominant gene.

This study found this:
***According to Ganna, these genetic variances have “a very small effect” on sexual behavior, and combined, only explain “considerably less than 1% of the variance in the self-reported same-sex sexual behavior.” This means that non-genetic factors, including environment, upbringing, personality, and nurture “are far more significant in influencing a person’s choice of sexual partner, just as with most other personality, behavioral and physical human traits,” according to the researchers.***

So this isn’t a recessive gene. If it were dominant or recessive, researchers should be able to predict whether a person would be gay or not if same sex attraction was genetically determined, but they can’t. These 5 markers are there but they don’t determine your sexuality. That’s what nurture explains, not recessiveness.

[So, what you’re saying is that being homosexual is an abnormality like down’s syndrome?]

Medicine as a science is extremely young. There’s actually a book (”The Youngest Science”) about its development into a science, rather than the random collective of recipes and techniques passed on through the ages, that it’s traditionally been, until recently. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Thomas Basically, what we know is insignificant compared with what we don’t know. I expect much will become clearer over the next few decades, and we will eventually discover what causes the birth defect that is homosexuality. Parents will be given the same option that they have for Down syndrome babies - abortion.

Hopefully, gene editing techniques will eventually resolve both Down syndrome and homosexuality. But at the moment, that technology is so far out of the realm of possibility, we might as well be talking about light speed space travel - no one knows *if* that will materialize, let alone *when*.

Or they could be wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time. Science advances in fits and starts. The prevailing understanding can persist for ages and be erroneous*. As far as genetic research is concerned, it seems to me that they’re still mostly at the taxonomy (i.e. classification) stage. They’ve just moved past giving names to things but are nowhere near achieving a complete understanding of how everything hangs together.

I agree that genetic research, among other endeavors, may be in its infancy. There is so much more that we don’t know and don’t fully understand. It’s kind of like the universe. So vast.

So homersexuality is a BEHAVIOUR.

BEHAVIOURS can be modified.

I've been observing this hullabaloo with some small interest over the past 40-plus years. I'm by now convinced that essential faggotry is almost exclusively a phenomenon of hormones. For whatever reason, the kid's mother has an excess of either testosterone or estrogen, and this imbalance reaches into the womb to eventually turn her baby into a different sexual direction. Female babies become predisposed to butch or hyper-female lesbianism. Male babies turn submissive or hyper-masculine — arguably the worst possible outcome. The poofters are partially correct — many of them are indeed born that way.

But that's only one side of the problem. The other, much darker side is that hyper-masculine men will ... um, seek out extremely inappropriate companionship on an involuntary basis. Their unwilling victims are deeply traumatized and grow up sexually twisted. They subconsciously seek to repair their permanently shattered psyches by "accepting" aggressively perverse behavior as "normal," which of course requires victimizing unwilling little boys themselves. It's a vicious circle of destroyed innocence.

As always, there are shades of gray. Outside of rape, the relentless degradation of traditional values and biological normalcy by the homosexual shock troops on the left have persuaded far too many adults and children that perversity is "normal" and therefore worth "trying out" even though they're not naturally inclined that way themselves. Thus the gay armies gain strength even as somewhere way down deep, the souls of millions of normal kids cry out against their unknown corruption.

By my estimate, the true faggots still only make up around two percent of the population, possibly upward of three percent now from all the estrogen that has been dumped into the water over the past 50 years by women using birth-control pills. But thanks to the endless propaganda war of the poofter guerillas and their successful subversion of confused hordes of normal children, an amazing number of younger folks apparently believe that faggots represent an astonishing 30 percent or more of the population. The problem continually recreates itself in an endless cycle of ugly, dehumanizing perversion.

You tell me. Am I wrong?

Seems like every week a 50 something male friend or friend of friend of mine on FB comes out as gay and proceeds to divorce their wife.

What’s up with this all of a sudden?

I didn’t need to do a study. If there ever were a ‘gay’ gene, it would die out quickly, since they don’t reproduce to pass it on.

So the argument will be along the lines used for evolution: We “know” it’s true, therefore the gubmint MUST fund more research.
In fact evolution is just a religion pretending to be a science.
And today’s brand of homosexuality is just perversion pretending to be normalcy.
Right is wrong, up is down.
I’m not even sure which sock goes on which foot anymore.

From the article:

“The research, which analyzed data on DNA and sexual experiences from almost half a million people, found there are thousands of genetic variants linked to same-sex sexual behavior, most with very small effects.
Five of the genetic markers were “significantly” associated with same-sex behavior, the researchers said, but even these are far from being predictive of a person’s sexual preferences.

“We scanned the entire human genome and found a handful - five to be precise - of locations that are clearly associated with whether a person reports in engaging in same-sex sexual behavior””
