I work for a company in which the son is squandering everything on his boneheaded schemes rather than riotous living. He is determined to remake the company in his image, and wants to throw away everything that his father did even though the father was successful. I also have contact with companies who did it right, the way you describe the Kochs. I actually see more companies following that model rather than what our li'l fuhrer is pursuing.
I feel for you, watching the destruction of what was a once-fine company. It’s maddening. Just keep repeating, “Not my circus, not my monkey.” That’s all you can do, and it’s true! Keep an eye out for another opportunity. Sigh.
