I know I make this observation a lot, but ... We are experiencing the results of the liberals’ crusade during the ‘70s and ‘80s to close down the country’s mental institutions for “humanitarian” reasons, combined with the craze during the ‘90s and ‘00s for parents to get their kids on Ritalin or Adderall to better “control” them. I remember reading a lot of articles back then speculating on what those kids would be like when they grew up. We are living in a time when those two factors have come to comprise a big part of the American Left.

Joy Reid talks as if she never cracked a history book. Hitler was a cog in a political machine. The National Socialist German Workers’ (NAZI) Party set the agenda and Hitler had the speaking ability to sell it to the German people over the new media of the radio. Unlike Trump, Hitler party controlled the media and through the radio, he was the media. Not true of Trump.
What Reid avoids is the parallels between the Democrat Party and the NAZI Party. Even though the Nazis were nationalistic, they were socialists and like the Dems were anti-big business, anti-bourgeois, and anti-capitalist.

I knew. back then, that I was not alone in thinking of the coming disaster, there were many of us. And yet, if we were sure, why, oh why, didn’t we do something about it.
When I think about what was one catalyst for the “slippery slope” I personally think ONE was our acceptance of the mean, vicious words to the music at that time. Maybe it sounds silly, but we should have raised holy he!!.
