Maybe Maryland should devote some funds to their infrastructure instead of fighting the fake climate change scam, gun control, abortion rights, etc.
The infrastructure in the area of the explosion is relatively modern. Columbia was developed as a planned community in the early 1960’s by the Rouse Company. The building that exploded was built in the 1990’s. There was an automatic gas leak warning around 7 AM and firemen gas company personnel entered the building to check out the situation and to see if anyone was inside. Seeing it was empty, they left and shortly afterwards the gas ignited. It appears that the main gas leak was in the parking lot. Utility lines are routinely inspected in that county according to local media. Being a suspicious sort, my antennae went alert when the tenant list included a Krav Maga studio and an Indian restaurant. Both potential jihadi targets. Amazingly, there were no deaths or injuries.
