Once the perp laid hands on him he surrendered his right to life; the shooter spared other people victimization at the hands of the perp (aggressor).

Putting the race of the person who was shot merely reinforces in peoples’ minds that they can’t safely be around others who don’t look like them; there are citizens, and there are “preferred citizens”...

Utter crap. The killer was the aggressor. The victim was protecting his family from him.

If one is carrying one should definitely NOT engage in arguments and especially yelling at another man’s wife. And he lied about the guy he shot. He said the man was advancing on him. Just as an aside- If I see someone without a sticker parking in a handicap space It occurs to me that it leaves a regular place maybe a bit closer o the store for me. I get POed not at people appropriating HC spaces but rather at the number of such spaces, most of which are empty if not filled by non HC cars. Watching the people entering and exiting the HC cars makes me wonder if maybe you can get a HC tag on Amazon for $19.99.

What a terrible take. You’re actually saying that someone pushing you puts you in reasonable fear of death? Do us all a favor and don’t ever leave your house.

This is a really dumb take.

"Laying hands on" someone does not, under any reasonable legal regimen (including Florida's stand your ground law), justify a response with deadly force. Deadly force is only appropriate in two cases - when deadly violence (i.e. with a weapon) has been made or threatened against you, or when an invasion is made of your home or vehicle (in that case justified by the imminence of the threat and the fact that a potentially deadly crime has *already* been initiated).

Simply running their mouth or initiating a non-deadly physical threat does not justify the use of deadly force. If this guy had had any sense, he'd have known that. As it stands, it sounds like he should not have even been carrying in the first place, as he obviously didn't have the temperament to do so.

I'd say this verdict is completely justified.

“Once the perp laid hands on him he surrendered his right to life”

Wrong. You can only legally shot to STOP an attack. Not to get revenge for a completed attack.
