Bernie is a hypocrite - in one way or other he’s using oil; whether wearing clothing, using electronic products, products that need oil such as food delivery or farming or going somewhere he’s using an oil based product.
Maybe he should wear a fig leaf to show how green he is. On second thought...NO!

The clothes and shoes you wear, throughout your car, throughout your home (siding, shingles, carpet, hard flooring, curtains, bathtubs, plumbing, electrical devices, toys, eating utensils, outdoor items, decking, decorations...).

You get it, as do many of us here. It's not just oil being used to power vehicles. Oil is necessary for our civilization to exist with modern convenience.
Will Bernie give up using asphalt for his driveway, and waterproofing of his mansion roofs? What about all the PVC piping for his water, gas and sewer hookups in his mansions? What, no more paint in and out of his homes? No solvents, glues, adhesives, textiles for curtains and drapes? Oil is used to make more than plastic straws, there are probably thousands of plastic articles that he owns. No more fertilizers for his landscaping or indoor plants. The list is extensive.
Bernie wants to punish fossil fuel companies; he would destroy modern civilization and have us live in mud huts.
