DNC Speaker: Socialism Endorsed By Constitution, Bible
freebeacon ^ | AUGUST 23, 2019 | Cameron Cawthorne

'If you want to have a moral debate, bring it on, baby'

A speaker at the Democratic National Committee summer meeting Friday said if free health care is labeled "socialism" by Republicans, then they should "acknowledge that the Bible must then promote socialism."

"When we embrace moral language, we must ask does our policy care for the least of these? Does it lift up those who are most marginalized and dejected in our society? Does it establish justice? That is the moral question," said Rev. William Barber, who has spoken at several DNC meetings. "If someone calls it socialism, then we must compel them to acknowledge that the Bible must then promote socialism, because Jesus offered free health care to everyone, and he never charged a leper a co-pay."

DNC chair Tom Perez and others in audience gave a standing ovation before Barber took a shot at Republicans, saying, "If you want to have a moral debate, bring it on, baby."

"The Bible says a nation will be judged by how it treats the poor and the sick and women and the immigrants," Barber said. "The Bible says that God makes it rain on the just and unjust alike. If you want to call caring for folks socialism, then the Constitution is a socialist document because it calls us to promote the general welfare and to establish justice."

Communism does not exist. It’s described in the Manifesto as “an association in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all”, which is a meaningless description devoid of specifics.

This is supposed to be the point where the all-powerful socialistic state somehow “withers away” after it’s somehow discovered that the socialist state wiped out all of the bourgeoisie and the “society” with no family, religion, private property or borders can exist without the all-powerful state.

The Bible promotes Absolute Monarchy, with severe penalties for disloyalty.

Yep. I love how the left screams about “separation of Church and State” and claim that Christian’s want a Christian theocracy, we’re all really Christian fascists - while at the same time quote the Bible to support their socialist agenda. How hypocritical.

The examples they cite are centered around personal giving, that giving from the heart is what is best. Of course they distort that to mean that the State should be just as “generous” with other peoples money. So they justify theft for votes. Pure evil.

"The Bible endorses workfare, not welfare."

Thanks for mentioning that. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 is a good verse. Paraphrased, if you don’t work then you don’t eat.

Since 2006 he has been president of the NAACP's North Carolina state chapter, the largest in the Southern United States and the second-largest in the country.

Historian and professor Timothy Tyson named Barber, "the most important progressive political leader in this state in generations."

In 2016, he delivered a speech at the Democratic National Convention.

In 2017, Barber was awarded an honorary doctorate from Drew University, his alma mater, and also delivered the university's sesquicentennial address at commencement exercises.

Amazing...where in the Constitution does it promote socialism, you man of Satan? Yes, you aren’t a man of God, but of Satan! Where in the Bible did it say that Socialism is wonderful. The Book of Karl Marx is not in my Bible...is it after Revelation? I guess someone ripped it out of all my Bibles......

I remember a communist protester giving me a convoluted rant about how things should be in a Marxist State; it made little sense and didn't stick to one point - he was all over the map. The rant was also crammed full of profanity and hate.

As he wound down and I was reviewing to think of one thing I could pick out and answer to, the intense protester ended triumphantly with "...because the Bible says so!" I had my reply and the protester crowd was waiting breathlessly to hear it.

"You're going to curse like that and then throw the Bible at me?"

Deflated, the protester crowd walked away muttering. The encounter always stuck with me as a glaring example of Alinskyism.

If they work, they should pay for their health care. Why do I have to pay for mine and their health care?

I am okay helping pay for it if they’re disabled and cannot work. If they’re capable of working, they need to pick up the bill.

I am tired of paying for their free lunches.

They don't actually believe that B.S., do they ?
They are just trying to fool the masses.

Read this verse completely. So just how do you "oppress the poor" ?

What does the Bible say about taxes, even during times of war or famine ?
But how much do DemocRATS propose to tax people ?
Is it more than 20 percent ?

Does the Bible teach it is okay to tax the rich more than the poor ?
What does Exodus 30:15 tell you about this ?

Crazier than an outhouse rat.

What about Paul’s admonition that if one doesn’t work, one doesn’t eat?

..... It’s the difference between giving donations of your own free will from the bottom of your heart ..... And having money taken from you by force and having it distributed to political special interests without your consent.

Actually, it’s in favor of constitutional monarchy, with the Bible (starting with the Ten Commandments as outlined in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5) as the Constitution.

Absolute monarchy is more like what the god of this world promotes, where the law is the whim of the tyrant.
