If it could ever be proven how many medical, technological and scientific breakthroughs were the work of whoops babies, we’d probably ban all birth control.
A woman at church once told me that years back, in Canada, she'd gone to a church-backed "Crisis Pregnancy Center" for some advice on her untimely and difficult pregnancy -- thinking abortion was a possibility ---- and the counselor said "What if you knew for a fact that the baby you're now carrying would make one other human being supremely happy?"
She thought about that and, well, one thing and another, and she went forward with her pregnancy.
She said the "one person supremely happy" was already achieved --- it was herself --- and the kid, now a dream-boat of a young man, was becoming his gf's treasured husband in a couple of weeks, so there's another one.
