I was listening to Dan Caplis this afternoon and he is ecstatic Hickenlooper is getting into the race. He said it takes out new, young Dem talent that had declared for the seat. He also said it is offensive for CO Dems to have Washington (Schumer) declaring who the candidate is going to be.

He doesn't think Hickenlooper will beat Gardner. In fact, he is quite confident Gardner will keep the seat. I don't know where the confidence is coming from but I certainly hope he's right! One thing we could have going for us is a lackluster Dem Presidential candidate. If the Dems are ho-hum about their candidate (article today they are bored with the candidates), it could help us with turnout. You know DJT supporters are going to crawl over broken glass to vote!
