So, so true.
By the way, Ban and Tax is the perfect term to summarize the Democrat party today. Everything they do fits under those two categories.

Just like the gun control debate....do not go after the actual perpetrators...go after the masses and make life more difficult for them.

I saw a report that the straw controversy started with a straw fragment being discovered in one nostril of a captured wild sea turtle.
That discovery was extrapolated to the extermination of all straws.
We don't have a straw problem, we have an envirowacko progressive problem . We need to be rid of people, not straws

The Plastic Straw Ban in a perfect example how Liberals can't seem to differentiate between big and small problems, between real and imaginary problems.
If it can be used for political gain, turn the volume up to 11 and panic.

Have you noticed that the most litter is in Democrat controlled areas?

Plastic is made from OIL.
That is really their target. “BIG OIL”.

I've seen actual cesspools with less trash floating in them than Baltimore Harbor.

Michigan has a $.10 deposit on every bottle and can sold.
I think that went into effect sometime during the 1970's. Prior to that the roads and highways were littered with tin cans that were casually tossed out the car windows......
Those cans have now been replaced with plastic water bottles. You should see the softball diamonds we play on in the mornings after games the night before. The dugouts are strewn with the plastic bottles just thrown on the ground or left on the benches while a garbage can is only 15 ft. away.........
Put a deposit on them too and somebody will pick them up.......

By the way, the overwhelming majority of the plastic in the ocean comes from Asia, but taxing and banning things in Asia isnt an option. More specifically, third world Barry Sotero Asians and Africans using first world products then dumping them overboard without a thought.
So, yeah- ban plastic straws, because...control.

There are two types of people. People who pick up trash as they walk to dispose, and people who throw the trash out of cars or as they walk.

Actually most polyolefins like polyethylene come from natural gas of which we have so much we burn it at the well head. Haven’t figured out how plastic bottles or straws are killing the planet. If dumped they just sit there and don’t do much.

If youve been to Israel, youll see that the Jewish areas are clean and the muzzie areas are full of trash everywhere. Muslims are pigs.

My husband and I went out to dinner for the first time in ages this week. We chose a new little pizza/sandwich place with healthy food and mix-your-own juice combinations. My drink was wonderful. Then I opened the straw and realized it was one of those thick paper straws that makes it so that all I could taste was the straw. GAG! I chose not to use a straw at all. I’ll bet that straw had some kind of noxious chemical in it. Sure tasted like it!
