Add the ketogenic diet to the ever-growing list of monsters under the beds of those suffering from climate change hysteria. Apparently all of the bacon and butter we consume is going to KILL EARTH: Admittedly, I didn't even know I was a steward of the planet until I saw that. It has been humming along for well over four billion years without any stewardship from me so I am not sure what my function is here in this role. Should I be wearing a uniform? Is there a stewardship manual?
Business Insider: The world cannot run on bacon and butter. Aside from the fact that there are not enough pigs and cows on the Earth to feed every person in such a high-fat way, this kind of meaty diet is dangerous for both human health and our planet's future. That doesn't stop people from trying. "Eating a keto diet that's especially high in red meat will be undermining the sustainability of the climate," Harvard nutrition professor Dr. Walter Willett told Business Insider. "It's bad for the person eating it, but also really bad for our children and our grandchildren, so that's something I think we should totally, strongly advise against. It's in fact irresponsible."

Read the above again, if you need to. Particularly this: "Harvard nutrition professor..."
"NUTRITION PROFESSOR" Why the hell should a "Nutrition Professor" care about Global Warming, at least with regard to keeping people healthy?
Bottom line: It's obvious that at least this one "Nutrition Professor" simply CANNOT be trusted to give reasonable advice to people's diets, when his top priority is saving the world from Global Warming. And remember, this is a HARVARD professor. By definition he has a lot of clout with regard to what his profession does and what the government does in the area of nutrition.
Oooo that reminds me...I still have a half pound of bacon in the fridge from last weeks BLTs. Think Ill cook it up for a snack! Then pick up another pound tomorrow at the grocery store.
Someone wake me when the planet is dead.
That’s right! Eat your maggot sausage instead, or else the world will end!
Low Carb/Keto PING!!!
I find this article to be very instructive as it helps explain why there is so much resistance to low-carb/Keto from ‘the authorities’. This person does have it right, it will have a tremendous impact on the society if people get off carbs. But this is a NUTRITION PROFESSOR, he’s not a climate change specialist - but his ability to even be opened-minded about the benefits of low carb is poisoned by his left-wing climate agenda. Our side will have as much luck converting him to healthy food (i.e., red meat with fat) as we’ll have converting Bernie into a capitalist.
This is a big reason why it’s taking so long for low carb to go mainstream, DESPITE the fact that people are essentially being cured of diabetes, or at least the need to take diabetic drugs and insulin, when going low-carb.
[p.s., anyone wanting to join, or leave, my Low-Carb ping list, just let me know]
Just had a bacon snack... and some nuts...

This is the article that the PJ Posting is based on. Note that the title is more correct, in this this guy is a Harvard Nutritionist, not a “climate change loon”, at least by profession.
Bacon is also a major cause of white supremacy and patriarchal aggression.
An educated Idiot!!!!
They got his academic title wrong. It is not “Nutrition Professor” but “Nutty Professor”.
Is a Keto diet related to a Beto Beatoff exercise diet? Idle hands want to know.
Wonder if my uber liberal sister will stop here Keto diet then?
I just love being lectured to by someone from Haaaaavard.
He’s got his nose so high in the air, he’d better hope it doesn’t rain!
All environmentalists should kill themselves...problem solved.
“These two sentences are contradictory. If eating bacon and butter kills humans, then we cannot kill the planet.”
LOL - good point. He wants to have it both ways. If we get off carbs, which, by definition, means eating much more meat, we’ll all die...which means that less meat will be eaten, so the planet will live!
I eat paleo. Am I just sort of an Earth destroying ass?
Soy boys will never inherit the earth. :)
I just ate a bacon wrapped meatloaf. The people spewing this anti-meat garbage are all ex-Goldman Beyond Meat investors.Follow the $
Wow! I didn’t know that I was angering the left with my
Keto diet! Bonus!!
I had roast beef and a banana.
