China warned it shouldn’t pin its hopes on Russian soybeans plugging supply gap
South China morning post ^

Posted on 08/18/2019 5:57:16 AM PDT by ameribbean expat

Since Russia still needs to import soybeans to fulfil its own needs, it was unlikely to provide an effective answer to China’s problems, Rylko added. He also warned that many of the European soybeans were not of particularly high quality because they were relatively low in protein.

He predicted that the best-case scenario would see Russian soybean exports reaching 2 million tonnes a year – a significant rise on last year’s total of 800,000 tonnes. However, that is still a drop in the ocean compared with China’s annual consumption of more than 100 million tonnes – some 88 per cent of which were imports, including 16 million tonnes supplied by the US.

I’ve got an idea. Russia can sell all their soybeans to China, and then they can use the money to buy soybeans from us.

Russian sanctions. But some enterprising group will set up a third party operation in Brazil and make a mint.

What does China do with all of those soybeans? Is soybean the preferred alternative to rice?

They won’t need as many beans this year. Pig Ebola has wiped out 40% of their hogs already and is still rampant and spreading. They have a serious protein problem. Add to that the Army Cutworms that are spreading like wildfire wiping out grain crops. China has some serious problems ahead. A billion 3 hangry Chinamen, currency devalued so imports are expensive, HK a powder keg, tariffs killing their job market, a hugungous credit bubble because of all the “Shovel Ready” ghost cities and inefficient manufacturing they have subsidized and paid for, etc.

Chinese CCP may not be long for this world. They are sitting on a time bomb and the count down is approaching 00:00.

Ha...DJT and the Soy bean squeeze.

Love this guy.

The four step process:

1. USA withdraws from the Postal Union...so cutting China off from low cost subsidized postal rates from China to USA

2. China designated as a currency manipulator

3. The Soy bean squeeze

Waiting for step 4: Apply EO of December 2017 to Chicom fantanyl suppliers.

Nothing so dangerous as a man with nothing to lose.

——ghost cities——

Not only did they build them, but people came.

The Pearl River Delta region population grew by leaps and bound to 68 million and taken alone is the 13th largest economy in the world.

Russia can sell all their soybeans to China, and then they can use the money to buy soybeans from us.

Or, sail a boat filled with USA soybeans to Brazil, unload it, reload it, declare them Brazil soybeans and ship it to China.

its what Chinese shippers do all the time when their goods face import restrictions.

China sees it’s IMBALANCE in trade with the US as one major component of one day conquering/occupying the US. Taking one half Trillion of American wealth out each year is more valuable to the Central Committee in their 100 year plan than 100 divisions of troops.

Trump knows that and really, really doesn’t give a damn what the Chicoms do. He’s moving to trade balance no matter what.

Achieving BALANCE with the Chicoms therefore is, inversely, a military necessity for the US. In doing so, like carpet bombing, Trump weakens China economically and militarily.

Imagine that. One Communist country unable to feed its own people is unable to provide enough food to help another Communist country feed it’s people.

They have a whole province that spends up to a year making their favorite food out of soybeans. I was watching a cooking show on the extensive process. They are cutting off their nose to spite their face, lol. They’ve been getting high quality soybeans from us.

Where we use field corn to feed pigs, they use soybeans.

You can bet some enterprising Chinese importer is doing this right now. The trick is to find a port where the Customs people are amenable to having their incomes supplemented with gifts of cash. Some of this is probably done in the course of well-lubricated karaoke sessions or lavish banquets involving expediters/fixers who are acquainted with key local Chinese officials.
