going to war for another nation is a thankless task.
If the Hong Kong protesters had a second amendment we would not be having this discussion.
It`s Budapest 1956 again.

Freedom Fighters need guns and Molotov cocktails.... and help.
I'm all for supporting their freedom and independence but if China moves in with troops and tanks, are we going to intervene with troops and tanks?
If we did and we won them their independence let's not forget China is thousands of years old.
They're masters at the long-game.
While the west is eating their own for the sake of diversity, tolerance, inclusion, tranny rights China is a monoculture that isn't distracted by such foolishness.
China has seen many empires rise and fall and China is still here.
Newt was the guy who was going to stand up against Affirmative Action & illegal immigration in the 90s...how did that work out for us?
Hong Kong’s fate was sealed when the UK transferred it over to the Red Chinese.
Trump did the correct thing with his private call to China without making a lot of noise.
Did you read the article?
Not sure why more than a few here think Newt might be calling for possible military action.
Many of us knew this would happen.....am surprised it took this long.
I can't imagine that is Gingrich's intent in this piece though many here think that.
Newt has his #tags ready.
NeoCons will fight others to the last American.
like George Herbert Walker Bush backed up the protesters at Tiananmen
“The American people are starting to recognize the challenge that a Communist-ruled China poses to the U.S”
I am very skeptical of all the PRC Chinese tourists that we allow in. It’s like a flood. Many are sullen and kind of spooky. Cheerless, loud people. Very unlike other tourists. Groups of young military-age men traveling together.
Is anyone paying attention to this? Or do the Gov functionaries just stamp the passports and go on to the next one?
President Trump should stop all PRC tourism, for now.
And our people do not need to go to be tourists there. For now
“...stop all PRC tourism...”
Better stop all PRC students entering our colleges and university R/D exchanges! For with the PRC unless you have your thumb on them the entire time. The exchange only goes one way!
Didn’t we know how this would turn out 35 years ago?
If Homg Knog had a 2nd Amendment,
the people would have given it up for simple innuendo of Red Flag laws.
I’m not willing to risk WWIII over Hong Kong. It’s sad, but this was predicted back in the 90s.
I feel sorry for the people of Hong Kong, but I can’t see going to war with China over their cause. It’s their city; it’s not like they are threatening an ally. If anyone should loudly object to how the people in Hong Kong are treated, I would think it would be the British. We have enough problems right now.
Hey Newt: Why don’t you organize a gun buy-back program in California (Get your couch-buddy Nancy to help)
Start in Hollywood, then Sacramento the go for the crown jewel: SanFran + Silicon Valley.
You can use some of those connex containers that normally ship empty back to China
Pick your fights wisely.

Rest easy. We will never see U.S. troops on Chinese soil. That would be playing into their wheel house. Wont happen....
