You underestimate the number of useful idiots that are suckered in by their propaganda. There is nothing that scares any run of the mill white more than being called a racist.

Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr. is the person with 'white guilt'...Sulzberger's (the owner of the paper) smart enough to see Baquet's level of bias and journalistic malpractice (and lack of business sense) will destroy his paper. But he also knows Baquet's a 'person of color' and that Baquet's stood up to white bosses before...(see above wiki quote) So the paper will go down in flames before they'll fire him. The death of a major newspaper is a high price to pay for bias and hatred of President Trump - but if they're willing to pay the price - we're willing to cheer it on.

The left has watered down the strength of accusations of racism by targeting a president who had spent decades in the public eye without the “racist” label. Now it means “enemy of the left”, nothing more.
