A Christian realtor in Virginia is suing the state real estate board after it charged her with violating fair housing laws by putting the Bible verse John 3:16 on her website, and using phrases like "Jesus loves you" in her email signatures.
This began when the Virginia Real Estate Board filed a complaint against realtor Hadassah Carter, saying that because she's using religious speech, she could make someone feel discriminated against.
The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has filed a lawsuit on Carter's behalf, charging the state board with violating her First Amendment rights and calling this "an attack on free speech and basic religious liberty."
"There have been no actual complaints against Hadassah Carter for discrimination," the ACLJ said. She has a diverse clientele of Jews, Catholics, Muslims, Buddhists, Kenyans, and Vietnamese. Not a single allegation of religious discrimination was made against her."

She’s a business owner. I don’t get it.
She is a CHRISTIAN business owner, they are NOT a politically correct “religious” group, thus is required to be driven out of business; or to pay a special tax (penalty) for being a Christian who wants to live openly in an anti-Christian society.
Time to destroy civil rights laws once and for all.
OTOH If the board can ban people for posting non-offensive religious texts then it can ban people for the rainbow flag which is triggering and hateful.
Simple solution, which I repeat ad nauseam in these threads: get children out of socialist government schools else it will be much worse in 10 years’ time. The voters elect the scum who put these regulations in place. Stop producing socialist voters!
“Virginia Real Estate Board filed a complaint against realtor Hadassah Carter”
What is the matter with the RE Board? They are insane and evil.
If the Christian verses were in Arabic, and accompanied by verses from the Koran, what would the ruling have been?
Key point:
“”There have been no actual complaints against Hadassah Carter for discrimination,” the ACLJ said. She has a diverse clientele of Jews, Catholics, Muslims, Buddhists, Kenyans, and Vietnamese. Not a single allegation of religious discrimination was made against her.”
Two things I never saw in the Constitution or Bill Of Rights:
1. The right for a woman to murder her child(unborn is passe)
2. The right not to feel, i.e. ,i.feeling discriminated against, feeling disrespected, feeling insulted, feeling feeling feeling!
That's all liberals are about, globull warming.....actual unbiased scientific evidence? No need if they feeeel it! White nationalism, racism.......proof? Hell no, they don't need it they have feeeeelings!
“”she could make someone feel discriminated against.””
This is truly what it’s all been about. We’ve been warned about the outcome for years about basing our judgments on “feelings” and we’re there now. Go to court if you “feel” X-Y-Z has been used against you. There will not be any need to prove anything in a court of law pretty soon - just a mere accusation. Rape? “He looked at me as I walked down the street.” Murder? “I think he was thinking about it.”
this only goes to show that there’ a bureaucrapppy in Virginia with far, far too many staffers with way too much time on their hands
“”for the rainbow flag which is triggering and hateful.””
IT IS - what is our recourse? Remember the colored lights on the WH during obozo’s reign? Those offended me but I didn’t know I could complain about it and get any action but maybe I could have. Isn’t that rainbow flag flying in some state capitol now??? Sacramento, perhaps? That’s offensive and there needs to be a protest to “tear down this flag pole.”
I hope she takes em to the cleaners to the tune of millions...or whatever.
Make em pay and pay dearly.
Libs are totally insane and belong in an asylum.
Meaning no one had a problem with it at all except the board?
‘thus is required to be driven out of business’
nobody is required to drive Christians out of business; not everyone wants nor needs to be preached at when trying to transact a deal, which is what happened here...
If someone doesn't want to hear that Jesus/God loves them, they should seek another Realtor that will tell them otherwise.
The state is clearly anti-Christian.

You missed the last sentence of the article:
“Not a single allegation of religious discrimination was made against her.”
No one complained about the religious quotation, it was solely an action by the state of Virginia. It was the Bible quotation that offended a government bureaucrat, who had no reason to intervene, since there were no complaints.
You think she should ‘just bake the damn cake’?
I have worked with this Realtor on several occasions. She is professional in all aspects of the sale or purchase of a home. This is a load of BS but this is what happens when Norther Virginia now dominates our political landscape in Virginia and continuously elects Democrats. We get non-religious and Christian Hating Members placed on these boards.
