They’re trying to cow the easily cowable John Roberts. SCOTUS decisions in 2020 before the election will tell how successful the attempted intimidation has been.

Trump should also troll democrats by highlighting their recent call for court-packing. If he took notice of the plan in a tweet, and said he agrees and will adopt this plan in a month. Promise FOUR new SC nominees by September 15. We could watch the howling and the calls to limit the practice.
Trump is going to wind up flipping the 9th Circuit Court completely. He’s already made great progress toward that eventuality.
Coming down to November next year, if he looks as solid as he does now, the SS better put it into high gear.

He is going to have to encourage the Senate to move a bit quicker.
In January 2017 (when Trump assumed office) there were 112 Judicial vacancies.
By November 2017 (10 months after assuming office) the Judicial vacancy count had increased to 148. This is where the 148 count that he “inherited” from Obama comes from. The actual “inherited” count was 112, the count from January 2017.
The above two counts include both actual vacancies and announced near-term future retirements (vacancies to be).
The current vacancy count is 123 (112 actual vacancies and 11 announced near-term future retirements). So we’re not even down to the 112 vacancies Trump inherited.
There’s not a reason in the world that this vacancy count can’t be reduced to 25 - 30 vacancies that would be in the “confirmation pipeline”. Get busy Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell!

Then on application, American minded counties can be readmitted on approval of application and sworn allegience to the union
Citizens who do not swear allegiance will be exiled to the purged counties
Citizens in purged counties who swear allegiance can be admitted to readmitted countise.
