perhaps she used grandma as a ploy thinking they would not grant the exception and she could scream they were depriving her of her last moments.
Israel check mated her
“perhaps she used grandma as a ploy thinking they would not grant the exception and she could scream they were depriving her of her last moments.”
Could be. Or, she felt the pressure for the Muslims who claimed that her agreeing to not push BDS would be capitulation.
I did not read Talibs latest statement. The way I “heard” it on CNN in the truck was that this would be the “last chance to meet her.”
I am just saying it was worded oddly—as if she had never met her before. That would be weird.

This is where the quote came from, the Israeli minister:
Last night, she sent me a letter asking to allow her to visit her 90-year-old grandmother because this could be my last chance to meet her, said Deri. I approved it for humanitarian reason, but it turns out that it was a provocation to embarrass Israel. Her hatred for Israel overcomes her love for her grandmother.
Emphasis mine.
That’s my thoughts also. Way to go Israel!
