President Trump mocked CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday in response to a viral video in which the “Cuomo Prime Time” host threatened a man who apparently had called him "Fredo."
A video of the confrontation, which originally surfaced on the YouTube channel "That's The Point with Brandon” and was circulated by Daily Wire reporter Ryan Saavedra, begins with the man telling Cuomo, "I thought that was who you were." The CNN host clearly didn’t appreciate the comment and the clip quickly became a trending topic on social media.
Fredo is a reference to Fredo Corleone, the weak and facile brother in the movie “The Godfather.” The CNN host is the younger brother of Andrew Cuomo, the Democratic governor of New York. The confrontation took place Sunday at a bar on New York's Shelter Island.

I heard a lot of slurs working in a factory and even in the Post Office, but I, too, never heard “Fredo” used as an ethnic slur.
OF course “Fredo” is racist. EVERYTHING is racist.
“If Cuomo was smart he simply would have said, “My name is Chris, what can I do for you”, instead of turning this into a major confrontation.”

That Cuomo is too dumb (like everybody says) to understand that Fredo is referring to how dumb he is rather than how Italian he is, is the best irony.
Chris seems easily “triggered.” Dems seem very “triggered.” They shouldn’t be allowed to own guns if they’re so “triggered.” They’re nuts.
I think governor Cuomo needs to “Red flag” law his brother because of the violence he spouted. He needs to be evaluated. (See how this works...)

I WOULD NEVER take it in that context. If it was said by someone I didn’t know and they were laughing, i’d know it was an insult but NEVER consider it an Italian slur.
If it was said by a friend I would know it was a ribbing :)

There is a video of a guest on Fredo’s show calling Trump that and he doesnt even flinch at it being said.
Right — it was Ana Navarro and Cuomo says nothing. Strange, for a slur that is (according to Fredo at least) the equivalent of the N word.

I don’t remember ever hearing “Fredo” used as a slur, either, in the neighborhood where I grew up.
It seems it’s being used as an insult recently on the internet (?).
Cuomo fell into a trap, but I agree with Hannity on this one.
However, Trump was masterful with his tweet about red flagging Cuomo. Talk about driving a point home. lol
The media personalities ain't that bright, thus referring to him as Fredo hits the mark. Fredo = nothing to do with ethnicity, everything to do with a rather stupid loser who is unaware that he is unquestionably a stupid loser.
