If the people had done anything truly important, they’d already be in the history books. It isn’t necessary to know what they did behind closed doors.

My husband and I (to clarify we are male/female in a traditional marriage) are childless Illinois taxpayers nearing retirement age. This disgusting development solidifies our decision to move out of Illinois as soon as we can. This is heartbreaking because both of our extended families live in Illinois. We do not feel accepted in our home state.

“not only teach an accurate version of history but also promote acceptance of the LGBTQ community.”

There’s that word again. From capital crime and the death penalty to acceptance in just a few years. Ain’t history great.

Why aren’t the elected officials and parents protesting this???

The mayor of a township on New Jersey is and he is hopping angry!

DON’T cede your kids over to this!

So, the powers that be feel it is important to dwell upon the accomplishments of people whose main claim to fame is that they suck c***, poke pooper or munch carpet?

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.- Isaiah 5:20

Not a problem - they’re government schools, so government gets to run them. Don’t like it, write your representative, or find other options.

The following was just posted for NJ but edited for IL.

"No group has a right to force others to comply with their beliefs, deprive them of their First Amendment rights [emphasis added],"

Regarding unconstitutional, pro-LGBT bullying by the states, there are two predictable problems with respect to IL citizens being able to protect their constitutionally enumerated rights from abridgment by the state.

First, regardless that the 14th Amendment (14A) protects even minority citizens from abridgment of their constitutionally enumerated rights by the states, the question is do the good citizens of IL know their constitutional protections so that they can use them?

From the 14th Amendment:

Note that that Acts 22:25-29 shows that Apostle Paul claimed his Roman citizenship to get out of a flogging.

The second problem with respect to states abridging constitutionally enumerated protections is this. We’re still stuck with a worthless Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration that will predictably not lift a finger to make penal laws to discourage renegade states like IL from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

The remedy for constitutionally failed federal and state governments…

All patriots in the nation need to come to the rescue of citizens being oppressed by activist states that ignore constitutionally enumerated protections, IL citizens in this example, by doing the following.

Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, now KAG, but will also promise to exercise its express 14A powers to make penal laws to discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected freedom of religious expression and free speech in this example.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)

Teaching a few minutes on the gay rights movement is appropriate in a high school/college survey course of American history when getting to the mid-20th century and beyond, but other than that, what is there to teach? Yes, there have always been people around who have had relations with the same sex, but their relevance to history has NOTHING to do with their sexual desires. And, of course, it’s mostly guesswork when dealing with such things anyway despite the leftist activist tendency to label everyone in history a homosexual.

It's really not. It happens in societies that are quite indulgent of these people, such as in San Fransisco and Sweden.

They kill themselves because they have a mental illness that makes it impossible for them to find happiness.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
