RE: The insane thing is, we have people in the West, in this country, and even some here on this very forum who think the Communist Chinese way of doing things is just fine and that we should emulate it.

Maybe it’s time to revisit the KENT STATE UNIVERSITY massacre by the Ohio National Guards in 1970. What should the guards have done then in the face of violent protests?

It is pretty apparent even after all these years that Kent State was a mistake that escalated due to poorly trained National Guard troops not suited for crowd control.

I don’t any kind of analogy to the current situation.

Back then there were organizations like SDS and the Yippies present on campus advocating for violent protest and overthrow of the country.

And those people in SDS and the Yippies should have been dealt with under existing statutes for sedition. But the worm had already turned on this, and there wasn’t going to be anyone taking care of business on that end back then.

Instead, they put a bunch of green National Guard troops carrying loaded M-1 Garands with no significant crowd control training in front of a crowd that contained people just itching for a violent confrontation.

In this case, the 1997 agreement that said that things would remain the same until 2047 with respect to lifestyle, governance and such. Granted, it is no surprise that the Communists would sign anything to get their foot in the door and then crap on it when it was convenient to do so.
