Republicans are on the wrong side of the issue and history. They should be FOR a minimum wage increase and take the issues off the political table. Adjusted for inflation the 1969 $1.60/hr min wage would be almost $12.00/hr.
Why should he Republican Party kowtow to the 8,000,000 small business that hire min wage workers? This wage increase will "trickle" up and don't think the 100,000,000 W-2 employees earners don't know it.
We (Patriots) want the Republican Party to be an inclusive nationalist party and stop being a Libertarian experiential party.

Because the MW cripples new startup businesses and government has no business in setting wages unless you like fascism.

The market is a harsh master. Unless you believe there is such a thing as a free lunch, those $$$ come from somewhere or someone else.
Paying anyone more than they are worth is not a sustainable strategy.
