ITALIAN deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has delivered a withering put-down to Richard Gere after the movie star urged the Italian government to stop "demonising” migrants - telling him to “take them back to your Hollywood villas”.
The leader of Italy’s far-right Lega party, now preparing for a snap election, was speaking after Gere visited Spanish charity boat the Open Arms ship in a show of support on Friday, before joining a news conference on the Italian island of Lampedusa to call for the 160 migrants stuck on the boat to be allowed to disembark. However, Mr Salvini, who this week pushed through parliament tougher sanctions on charity ships that seek to bring migrants rescued at sea to Italy, rapidly issued a statement in which he said: "Given this generous millionaire is voicing concern for the fate of the Open Arms migrants, we thank him.
“He can take back to Hollywood, on his private plane, all the people aboard and support them in his villas. Thank you Richard!"

This is one Trump sounding Italian guy. This guy is okay in my book. Dick Gere can just build some low income housing where they came from and support them. There may be hope for the Italians yet.

Most Hollywood “stars” and their “Millionaire friends” have more than one home (house, estate, mansion, condo, beach house, NYC condo (but not in Baltimore), on some Caribbean Island or off the coast of Spain, France, Greece, Italy, etc). so let them HOST the illegal immigrants for the next couple of years before they appear before an Immigration court.
