Well, the way the left uses “fact” (as in leftie “factcheckers”), it makes sense. To them, “facts” are approved leftist talking points, and those trump unapproved “truth”.

While he almost certainly would have been her running mate, the reverse never made sense (beyond the “she’d Marcus Aurelius his ass” thing), she would not have been a help in winning, she’d just have brought negatives.
And absent usurpation, Sec of State was a better gig for her, allowing her to leave after term 1 and distance herself from potential 2nd term scandals while devoting herself full time to running.
