or compromise the delivery of quality health care

So if I don't conscientiously take my one prescribed baby aspirin every day, they can red flag me?

I think the thing to do is to keep Congress busy crafting these types of laws, only to veto it if it reaches the White House, on the grounds that it’s just not quite right yet, and should go back to committee and start over.

A variation on the “no fly list”. Once you’re on it, it’s next to impossible to get off.

Red Flag laws reverse the presumption of innocence, and thus removes the 5th Amendment protections against self incrimination.

“Red Flag” laws are especially pernicious, as they will allow lefties to report ANYONE they know who is a gun owner. That is why the Democrats are doing cartwheels over the fact so many Republican congresscritters are going along with them. The system will be overwhelmed with the confiscations, such that it will be years before any are resolved.

Does anyone think I’m exaggerating? If they do, they don’t know the “progressives.”

The field of psychology, which I view as only slightly more credible than the practice of phrenology, will once again be employed by government to disarm free citizens based on virtually any complaint, regardless of evidentiary foundation. What could possibly go wrong? And, what will be the penalty for false reporting? This is a true, reflexive “wag the dog” moment.

History is replete with examples where the abuse of psychology was used to impose totalitarian controls against political dissidents. The most egregious was the Soviet Union, which established “Psikhushkas” (mental hospitals) for the sole purpose of incarcerating political enemies of the Soviet Union, and they were managed by the KGB until 1991.

Red Flag laws are the perfect nexus for enabling the new Soviet state in America.

Superior in every way.

It will be applied to conservatives, and not applied to collectivists...

... like the terms of service of the publicly-traded social media corporations who are supposed to operate as open platforms.

I have a very good friend that served in Vietnam and he has told me several times in the past and again after a recent visit to the VA they keep trying to get him to help them give him a diagnosis of PTSD. I ask him in what way they said they would help him after being diagnosed than they are already helping him and pretty much the answer is they want to give him drugs he doesn’t need or want.....................oh yeah and the bonus is they will be able to help the state classify him as mentally disturbed and nullify his 2nd Amendment rights.

In past visits to the VA, they have asked me if I was “depressed” or “unhappy”, and I immediately thought of red flags.

I always, in a kidding manner, say “No, I’m OK. I am Happeeee”. They laugh and continue without blinking an eye.
