He knows his audience won't check him.
Heck, the Heller decision lays the historical meaning out fairly accurately. The "collective right" theory is new by corrupt judges.
At any rate, Cuomo is a known liar, and few people take him at his word. He works for a lying propaganda outfit to boot.

His interpretation is laughable. A “collective right” to bear arms needs no Constitutional protection. Is the government in any danger of having its weapons taken away, by the government?

Lets accept his silly argument as valid. I thought lefties were all wrapped up about honoring precedent. Well, if the Supreme Court declared it, that’s precedent too isn’t it? Or does that only apply to Roe V Wade?

They’re not stupid. They’re lying, they know that they’re lying, and they think they can get away with it.

The 'Stupid Gene' must be huge in the Cuomo family. For years, Rush Limbaugh has referred to him as "Fredo."

Nowhere in the contract called the constitution is a militia recognized as a party to the contract. We only see states and individuals and their representatives.

BS as anybody who has read any of a number of statements by practically all of the Founding Fathers knows.
As usual, Cuomo is just lying.

That twisted logic has so many fallacies in it we could spend all day picking it apart.
Basically why would The Founders want to make sure something is "Well Regulated" (to the stupid Progs that means, regulated as in what you can/cannot possess) but then at the very end state that the Government cannot infringe (i.e. limit) the Arms of the people.

Well, there’s a good chance the men of the militias owned their own guns. They were not dispensed by the state.

I hate to break it to this silly little man, but whenever the Constitution uses the phrase, “the people”, it is talking about he core foundation upon which the constitution is firmly planted: The individual citizen.
