I’ve called the police on several occasions after hearing gunshots in my neighborhood. Their response was underwhelming.
One time, they drove a cruiser around with light off looking around and left. Another time, they sent no one. Waiting for ambulances to be called apparently.
When I was younger, the response would have been vigorous.
There are gunshots here all the time...I’d never call the cops about it unless I heard screaming or some other indicator of a problem. Everyone here owns guns, that’s why it’s such a peaceful neighborhood.
