MORTON, Miss. – U.S. immigration officials say raids at seven food processing plants in Mississippi resulted in 680 arrests. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Matthew Albence told The Associated Press that the arrest count from Wednesday’s raids may make it the largest workplace sting in more than a decade and probably the largest ever for a single state. Authorities say about 600 agents fanned out across the plants, surrounding the perimeters to prevent workers from fleeing. They targeted several companies. The raids happened in small towns near Jackson with a workforce made up largely of Latino immigrants. The towns hit include Bay Springs, Carthage, Canton, Morton, Pelahatchie and Sebastapol.

I texted my friend who works for DHS if he was involved with this. He said he has been in a hot sweaty hangar in Jackson Processing these perps since 3 am, probable be there until that time Thursday

Start arresting the owners of the companies hiring illegal aliens.
Great time for people to get to these plants and get a good paying job!!!
Ask him why they didn’t arrest the managers and owner.
But, they didn’t announce it to the news beforehand!
Hmm, How many charges of Wire Fraud, Bank Fraud, Money Laundering, Identity Theft, TAX Fraud,...can they come up with against the Owners of these Companies??
SHouldn’t the Government SEIZE these businesses thru Asset Forfeiture laws as Ill gotten Gains through Criminal Activity?? Were they not Running a Criminal Enterprise?? Every Charge I listed plus many more they committed for every last employee that was an Illegal Alien.

I did a consulting stint at the HQ of a large chicken processor 15+ years ago. Visited 3-4 of their plants in the rural / exurban South. LOTS of Hispanic workers even back then, perhaps predominantly so.
Chicken will get more expensive. Then people will figure it out, and automate it more.

Oh, and travelling through middle Tennessee recently, I noticed billboards advertising for food processing workers. IIRC it was for over $15/hour + benefits advertised on the billboard. If I’m back up there I might try to get a picture.
From some recent experience, there are plenty of rural whites who’d like to have jobs at that level. These aren’t jobs that “Americans won’t do”. That’s BS.

Apparently, they weren’t “immigrants” as the article “reported”. They were illegal alien criminal invaders. Why is the “news” so full of lies???
