It isn’t entirely unfair, but Canada is largely lacking in certain demographics that tend to turn entire neighborhoods into Beirut or Mogadishu.
While these have been growing somewhat, it is still a very different ball of wax.
And for the most part, you won’t find me defending Toronto much—I live about two hours north of the north-eastern corner of the GTA—but size wise both the city and the area are something like Chicago—and I suspect perhaps a little worse in terms of attempting to drive through.
