This is probably President Trump's subtle genius on display again. In American politics there's the hard core left and hard core right. We're going to vote those ways no matter what. In the middle are a bunch of people - at least equal to if not greater in numbers to the other two factions. Some election cycles they lean one way, sometimes another, to one degree or another.

President Trump has managed to goad the 'rats into exposing just how hard-core leftist they really are. He's tweaked at the more radical and inexperienced among them (read that: AOC) and they've delivered. They have pulled the 'rat party so far left they are alienating most of that all-important middle-of-the-road voting block. If the 'rats continue down this path, they are going to hand President Trump his second term on a silver platter. Almost certainly the GOP retains the Senate, and it's a good bet they'll take back the House the way the left is veering left...
