Thailand: Bangkok rocked by multiple blasts during morning rush hour, three injured

AUG 3, 2019 12:00 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER

Oddly enough, there are no “white nationalists” in Bangkok. Who, then, could have done this? Well, Thailand has for years been dealing with Islamic jihadists. But of course the Mirror makes no mention of that. To mention it would be “Islamophobic.”

“Bangkok explosions: Thailand rocked by multiple blasts during morning rush hour,” by Bradley Jolly and Toby Meyjes, Mirror, August 2, 2019 (thanks to Paul):

Bangkok has been rocked by multiple blasts during the morning rush hour that have injured at least three people.

There were six explosions during the morning commute at the BTS Chong Nonsi station, including one in Phra Ram 9 road and one at the government’s Changwattana building.

The blasts were all heard at around 8:30am and three pedestrians were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries.

The government’s Changwattana building in northern Bangkok is visited every day by thousands of tourists making visa applications.

A concrete bench was destroyed after the blast there.

Police closed down the area next to the transport systems while they investigated the blasts.

They were also checking the King Power building in Bangkok – owners of Leicester City – and key establishment figures in Thailand.

Pictures show soil strewn across the pavement at BTS Chong Nonsi station while a second blast there shattered glass on the monorail sky train.

Part of a concrete wall was damaged and smoke was also seen rising from an area next to trees lining the road where the explosion happened.

The blast this morning came after a package stuffed with electronics, ball bearings and a green flashing light was left outside the police headquarters last night.

Police say the devices were homemade….

Last night, CCTV showed a young man in yellow shirt placing the device outside the Royal Thai Police headquarters at 5.35pm local time

Not likely Muslim unless there’s some specific evidence pointing to Muslims.

I’ve worked right at the Chong Nonsee intersection, even before it was an intersection — before Naradhiwas Rajanagaindra road was built which crosses Sathorn Road making a four corner intersection. I remember August 1991 when the Soviet Flag flew over the Soviet Embassy there, and May 1992 when the Russian flag flew over the Russian embassy there and the traffic lights were knocked out due to the May riots. That was long before the sky train was built. The Russian embassy moved out years ago, and their former embassy is now a hotel. All my in-laws live very close to there. About ten minutes walking.

I’ve also been in the Changwattana building.

Yeah, I was just talking Muslim terrorism in general.

Interesting that you’ve been there. Never seen such a place personally.
