A year and a half ago, my wife Mary and I moved closer to our parents. We relocated from Florida to what I nicknamed "Trump Country USA," a tiny town in West Virginia. I've seen MAGA cap–wearers and a few lawns with old Trump signs.
Our tiny town emits Christian traditional American values. We enjoy the annual Christmas and July 4th parades. Only a handful of blacks, which includes me, live here.
A few days after we moved into our home, our neighbor Meg welcomed us with a homemade apple pie. Meg recently called and asked us to help with the "Friends of the Library" picnic for the kids. The last thing I wanted to do was to spend a day with screaming kids. Yet Mary and I knew God was setting us up to be a blessing.
The picnic was a blast. Mary and I helped serve food, play games, and clean up afterward. Our town's volunteer fire department truck sprayed the kids with water. They loved it.
I learned that the Friends of the Library summer reading program is solely funded by community fundraising events. Two days a week, kids of all ages are read books and read books at the town library. The theme this year was "Space" in honor of the 50th anniversary of the U.S. landing on the moon. The kids were even treated to a road trip to a space museum. I thought, "Wow, this town is a living breathing Norman Rockwell painting."
At the picnic, I met an extremely bright, articulate 15-year-old black kid and his three younger siblings. Mary read in the local newspaper that he is the best runner in the county, receiving offers and scholarships.

This is a common theme. My mind immediately goes to my adopted daughter, who was born in Vietnam, and her close college friend, who is black and was adopted into a white family. Both young women are accomplished dancers and their friendship blossomed when they became members of the same dance troupe. They attended a private Christian college, which was predominantly white.
One professor assigned a task to her students: interview a person of color to learn about their unique challenges. Since there were few “people of color” on campus, everyone swamped my daughter and her friend, who reported that they had no challenges at all. They were surrounded by their loving white families and friends and rarely thought about their skin color until this silly assignment.
It is often said that people must be taught to be racist. I find it’s also true that people have to be taught to be victims.
Forget even drugs.
Rap music is worse. Nobody pumps drugs out of passing cars.
Exactly. I am so tired of the Left playing the race card every time someone poses a tough question or disagrees with their position. To me, they have worn that card so thin that they can no longer hid behind it. Elijah and Al: quit hiding behind the false race card and answer the questions posed to you. Truth is, you don't want the world to know how you helped turn Baltimore into a hellhole.
I’ve not know many blacks, but of those I’ve known and been friends with, one was a fellow jet instructor pilot in the USAF, and the others all had EE PhDs (taught with me).
All of them had been raised and educated in rural areas, far from the slime of Democrat cities and liberal ‘publik eddikashun’.
Which is why they all turned out to be successful.

It’s interesting in Appalachia. Because we have so few African-Americans, there has never been a problem with inter-racial dating. As a matter of fact. black couples are rare here. With such a small population, the chances of compatibility are slim. So most “black” kids here have one white parent. If not, they most likely moved here.

This is great. If we don’t participate in such events we end up with drag queen storytime.
Add to that, ghetto is not just a geographical location.
Ghetto is also a mindset.
Why do we even know who this man is? There are so many black people who are intelligent, thoughtful and have useful things to say that would help black people and help all of America. Instead the powers that be pick this useless piece of junk from the gutter to spread his disease of ignorance and hate for half a century. This is what the mainstream media empowers instead of the hundreds of intelligent black thinkers who could lead their people to the promised land instead of the hopeless trash heaps like Baltimore.
Blacks in my community were so rare a sight they were all celebrities. Somehow we had latched onto all of the positive stereo types and ignored any negative ones. The oldest boy was expected to be the best athlete, most well dressed, cool dancing machine in the county. Oh, and he could dunk.
If blacks were geographically dispersed by and settled into communities per their pro rata share of the population there would be one black person to about 12 not black people. In other words there would be no black communities. Most blacks I know would find that intolerable. There are simply not enough black people to achieve the pc goal of diversity.
There is no Black Community. The term is a political construct coined to promote the appearnace of homogenity. (as in uniforn, fully and completely mixed, not queer)
The black population is a collection of disparate subcultures.
African communities are like a crab bucket where the crabs that try to escape are pulled back down by the other crabs.
