"Hours later they contacted authorities... very suspicious."No, not suspicious at all. They cared about the safety of the authorities and waited till daylight. The police may have been shot at if they showed up at night...or they may have been confused for the burglar.
Meanwhile, the burglar called cummings when he had crossed the State line...

H/T pollster1----The Cummings intruder was described as a black man in his early 40s who was 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. He had a dark brown complexion and short black hair and was wearing khaki shorts, a dark short-sleeved shirt, dark tennis shoes with white ankle socks . . .he was reportedly carrying a Kenyan birth certificate. Mrs Cummings was ready for anything.....she followed him to the golf course and took pics.
