Well, casualties do happen when you try to take on a deeply entrenched political establishment that has the full support of EVERY SINGLE establishment in society, most of the large financial interests and at least half of the population of a nation.
Dont think this will be straightforward or bloodless. And yes, you are, for a very long time, going to suffer as many, or more, defeats than you will enjoy victories.
We should at least show the intestinal fortitude that our parents and grandparents showed in WW2...this opponent has a lot more money and power (and we have fewer allies) than those enemies had.
That's in short supply out here beyond the trees.
The give up, surrender monkey is strong here.
“Well, casualties do happen when you try to take on a deeply entrenched political establishment that has the full support of...at least half of the population of a nation.”
Why do people presume that? Only a quarter of the population votes for the forces of evil, and of that quarter a substantial number of voters are dead, fictional, or otherwise ineligible to vote.
How does that become “at least half the population?”
