Ratcliffe made it clear he would strongly support POTUS. The last thing the GOP wants is for Trump to have support on his flanks. Especially is such a key position. And Trump can’t afford an intra party fight on the eve of 2020 election season.

The GOP as an institution needs to be held accountable for it’s collusion with Democrats and its role in ongoing Coup. Until they fear the voters nothing will change.

It was this quote that got their hackles up where they decided on the Left and the Media (redundant) to slander him, slander his family, dig up every single thing they could (true or not) and plaster it across every media outlet available and hype it incessantly:

"...What I do know, as a former federal prosecutor, is, it does appear that there were crimes committed during the Obama administration. We talked earlier about Michael Flynn. His phone call with the Russian ambassador was a highly classified NSA intercept..."

It is that quote, pure and simple that made them pull out the stops, knowing full well they would have the support of NeverTrumpers (including those on FR) RINOs, and every person on the Left and in the media.

Ratcliffe sees things clearly with respect to crimes committed by the Obama administration (specifically surveillance abuses and the illegal setup and leaking) that is clear. Is there any doubt the Left and RINOs would squeal and fight with everything at their disposal rather than allow this man to be DNI?

I do agree with some posters here on a few key points, though:

• With the retirements coming up in 2020 on the Republican side, might be better to have Ratcliffe where he is.
  
  
• This was the Republican establishment telling him they wouldn't approve him. Which is disturbing. That said, I love the concept of him asking Admiral Rogers...(evil grin) if not for the simple spectacle of Leftist and RINO gray and white matter being splattered on every media and Internet surface! I know that would never happen, but...I like the thought. Admiral Rogers in an unsung hero to this nation.

The GOP as an institution...

...is what I call "Leftist Light".

"Tastes Great" (to those who love socialism), but "Less Filling" (than immediate full-blown socialism).

In many ways the GOP is worse than the Delusional Dems because the GOP is SUPPOSED to know better. But generally the GOP is on the take just as bad as the Enemy-Within Dems.
