Oh please. It was an inside job for the sympathy, and for insurance purposes. Probably the same M.O. when his house caught fire in 2015. Never was able to find out what the results of the investigation were into the fire, but it was discovered that he hadn’t applied for, nor received the proper city paperwork required to use it, or part of it as a rental property. He had a renter at the time of the fire, and blamed the fire on them. He owed the government $30,000 in back taxes in 2014, so I wonder how much more in back taxes he owes. The guy’s a crook.
