I’m sure they did. I wonder how many mainland Chinese moved to Hong Kong in the past couple decades for the little bit of extra freedom?
I would love to go back to Hong Kong again. An amazing city.

That might be Chinese tycoons looking for a place to park their cash. The wealthier ones are probably buying in the West where the Party’s writ doesn’t loom quite as large, meaning it can’t get at their assets there.
