Papadopoulos to head to Greece to retrieve $10G payment, says it was intended to entrap him
Fox News ^ | 28 July 2019 | Gregg Re

Former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive interview that he is heading back to Greece to retrieve $10,000 that he suspects was dropped in his lap as part of an entrapment scheme by the CIA or FBI -- and federal investigators want to see the marked bills, which he said are now stored in a safe.

Papadopoulos said on "Sunday Morning Futures" he was "very happy" to see Devin Nunes, R-Calif., grill former Special Counsel Robert Mueller about the summer 2017 payment during last week's hearings -- even though Mueller maintained, without explanation, that the matter was outside the scope of his investigation.

"I was very happy to see that Devin Nunes brought that up," Papadopoulos said. "A man named Charles Tawil gave me this money [in Israel] under very suspicious circumstances. A simple Google search about this individual will reveal he was a CIA or State Department asset in South Africa during the '90s and 2000s. I think around the time when Bob Mueller was the director of the FBI.

I don’t find him credible at all. He has changed his story repeatedly. If he goes to Greece I bet he winds up in jail.

Dumb move. Have it brought back by the lawyer. He shouldn’t be anywhere near it.

Yeah, Papadop might have been naive, but he was not completely stupid.

That is a great point. I’m not sure what Weissman was doing at DoJ before he took over the Mueller probe in 2017. But it makes sense that he could have been a member of the cabal.

If he’s dumb he’s also very lucky.

Old story. Obviously Mueller’s posse was trying to set him up. Good thing he had a sixth sense working for him.

They also offered him a hot Italian GF, now wife, and he took them up on that offer. It’s quite possible she was the smart one and protected him. She could have possibly foreseen a bigger payout than 10G. If he gets 10G for doing nothing, what would he get for doing something?

I’ve always wondered how they get the money small enough to fit into a wire. Do they liquify the paper?

They had two FBI agents to meet him when he arrived at the airport and arrest him.

No charges were proffered. It was described as a "Probable Cause" arrest. Dan Bongino has spoken at length about this.

In his career as a federal agent with the Secret Service, probable cause arrests are so rare as to be non-existent. Cops on the the street do them all the time, but federal agents? Never. Their route is to get a warrant on potential crimes that have been researched, and then go out and make an arrest.

This all happened right after the Strzok-Page texts became public and Mueller began panicking, looking for ways to get control over people to shut people up. This was one of those.

They thought they would catch him with the $10K coming through customs and could put the screws to him.

Unbeknownst to them, he smelled a rat, and left the money in Greece with a lawyer.

Mueller nailed Papadopoulos on a charge he lied to them in an interview in February 2017, where he said he had begun working for the Trump campaign a week or two later than he actually had.

Here is the story about the arrest and the money (By Chuck Ross, who does phenomenal work): Papadopoulos Told Feds He Received $10,000 From Foreign National He Believed Was A Spy

On a related note, if you do a Google search with "papadopoulos airport arrest" all you get returned are articles about Papadopoulos going to jail for lying. Interesting, eh?

Yep. Google does shape and modify its returns in very specific and minute ways, but they want you to think it is just a general algorithm. Scum, all.

"...The turning point in what we may call the Brennan/Comey conspiracy some day could well be the money given to George..."

I have felt that from day one when I heard about this. If those bills are catalogued and marked (not a given) then there will be some explaining for someone to do.

That person may be some minor employee who was the last one responsible for the custody of the bills in a government storage area.

But they worked for someone. And that person worked for someone.

Etcetera.
