I think most of them came here with some sort of legal family sponsorship. I’m aware of one legal immigrant professional (unfortunately married into a strong prog family)who got her mother out, finally. Daughter just became a citizen.

Actually the Venezuelen emigres I met are pretty down to earth Republicans liker the Cubans. So there is hope. I am not saying i support it but there is a silver lining on this.
